These days it’s all about how much content is out there for our eyes to see…So, What’s it all mean and most importantly, What’s it mean to you and your business?

How are we to build brand awareness for a small business in this new age of technology and on a budget? Brand awareness is an essential part of letting the world know where you are at, what your product or service is about and letting them know how to get in touch with you. Develop your strategy, develop your market, and then go after it like there is no tomorrow!!
It’s about how you are going to go about getting the word out and what avenues to take….it may mean strictly digital= social media marketing, print, radio, tv, whatever the avenue may be…it needs to be CONSISTENT. Branding your message is important. It tells the whole world “We are here!”

There have been countless times when I have advised a friend, a client, or a job seeker about how to get noticed and what they need to do to “speak to their audience.” Not only is it imperative to let everyone know who you are, but it’s imperative to have it consistent across all media channels. What’s that mean, all media channels? Well, that means if someone has connected with your brand and in more than one place, whether it be online, or print or otherwise, it has to say and look the same in every aspect. Now, there can be slight variations of the content, but the overall message, needs to be conveyed in the same manner.

1. Use the same couple of variations for the branded message.
2. Use the same pictures, logos, and fonts and sizing depending on the dimensions of the media channel (i.e. print, magazines, etc).
3. Direct the message and advertisement or announcement or social media marketing toward the same audience.
4. Always advertise in the the rule of “Three’s”…..A message needs to be seen three times in order for it to be remembered.
5. Align your branded message with advertisers of the same vision. Do they support community efforts, non profit organizations,causes?
Synergy of “like minded” establishments work together best.

As a small business owner trying to get the word out, and on a budget, you really want to maximize your social media marketing efforts. For now, it’s free. But as of lately, Linkedin.com (the professional social media site to connect) has been starting to charge for their connection and researching services. And by rights they should. The ability to research and connect with others on Linkedin, is an essential part of business development. To further dig down past the first connection and then research by keywords, companies, salaries, industry’s, it takes time and effort to get the right those algorithms in sequence,to make everything work.

With all this in mind now, take a few minutes today to clean up your professional brand, profile, and personal profile too. Make sure you have the same picture across all social media sites. It will send a clear and clean message that things are on the right track of consistency. I know I need a new head shot! Take the time and get it done today!

Oct. 13, 2011, Raleigh, NC – Since early August CBJ Promotional Avenues has been helping to plan and map out the brand new concept, Pergo Factory Outlet Store. It’s first ever brick and mortar store, Pergo plans on creating an end solution for its discontinued and low quantity stocks from the major retailers and private made stock, to sell the laminate flooring at deeply discounted prices with the original factory warranty. Pergo also has plans in the future to donate any flooring not sold in the store after a certain amount of shelf time, to a Home Building project for Veterans.

Walls, lighting and painting is continuing at an alarming pace and will soon open to the public. THE ROBSON SPINELLI PROJECT

Robson ventured his way into the Triangle from Los Angeles while working in film/television studios in Wilmington. While here, he realized like everyone else, what a great area the Triangle is economically. Being from Italy and Brazil, Robson was also appreciative of the option of both mountains and ocean in NC. He settled comfortably into the North Carolina lifestyle and decided to make the Triangle his home base for his travels between LA and Brazil.

For many professionals like engineers and scientists, the Triangle is a logical choice to explore your options in careers. But in the world of Fashion- local designers, textile makers, stylists, and many others often leave the Triangle area to pursue better job opportunities in larger cities.

With over thirty years experience, Robson is sharing his knowledge and teachings from his travels, and entertaining Triangle residents with The Robson Spinelli Project.
